MEDICAL VISA
The Government of India, the Ministry of health and family welfare, and the Ministry of Tourism are working hard to make India a leading medical destination. For this purpose, a medical visa(M-visa) has been introduced which allows a medical tourist to be in India for a specific period. Apart from this, a visa on arrival is granted for citizens from a few selected countries, which allows them to stay for 60 days.
This type of visa is only granted to the patient and not to family members. Blood relatives can obtain a medical attendant visa to accompany the Medical visa holder. The validity of the attendant’s Visa will be the same as for the patient.
