What is medical tourism?
Medical tourism or health tourism is a combination of travel and treatment, people travel across the globe seeking medical treatment. This is encouraged as either the treatment is not available in their place or its expensive or one has to wait for a long time to be operated on due to non-life-threatening procedures so that they can be cured of diseases and explore the nation thereafter.

Compared to the developed countries like the USA & UK the treatment options are more accessible and affordable makes India a leading health care destination. Rich cultural tradition, vast geography, and moderate climate also make India a prominent medical tourist destination.
What is the role of MCS?
We act as an intermediary between the patients and the hospital. While the treatment is looked after by the hospital we take care of the details like prescription medicines while you recover, discharge and other formalities, accommodation for your companion and you during your stay, car rentals, tour planning, and other such things.
Do the hospitals meets international standards?
The Joint Commission is a US-based non-profit that accredits health care organizations and programs around the world. The JCI accreditation is considered as the golden standard among all the health-care accreditation programs available. NABH is a constituent board of Quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation programs for healthcare organizations. Hospitals in India assessed regularly by a team from the NABH. This Expert Team comprises Doctors, Nurses, and Hospital Administrators who audit these Major Hospitals of India including Private Hospitals and Government Hospitals for Patient Safety and Quality, every year. There are 34 JCI accredited and more than 700 NABH accredited hospitals in India.
Do the hospital staff and doctors in India speak English?
Yes, the nurses, doctors, and other paramedical staff at the hospital can speak English.
How do I start my medical travel?
First of all, you should contact us with the required medical records. We will share your reports with multiple doctors and hospitals and get back to you with a treatment plan, cost of treatment, and other useful information
Can I connect with the doctors before I decide my travel?
Yes, you can connect and discuss with the doctors before you decide on your travel. So that you can feel comfortable with the treatment process and the doctor who would be treating you.
If I directly deal with the hospital will my medical expenses reduces?
The price that you get from us is directly from the hospital. We charge fees from the hospital for marketing their services and serving their patients round the year.
How much can we save?
Your savings can be from 30-90%, depending upon the procedure and the destination you choose
What are the travel documents that I need?
Depending upon your country of citizenship you will need a valid passport and a medical Visa from India
How can i get a medical VISA?
After you have decided on the hospital, we will work with the hospital to get you the VISA invitation letter issued by the hospital.
What If I’m taking a companion?
The companion can travel with you but need a valid passport and visa, most hospitals in India allow at least one attendant to stay with the patient in the hospital.
What about the safety ?I don’t know anything about India.
On arrival, you will be received by us and will support you in getting you to the desired place, which could be either the hospital or the hotel. Our executives will ensure that you have settled down comfortably and will also provide assistance for the needs that you request for. Moreover, India is a safe place to travel.
What about the stay after the treatment and discharge?
We will book the rooms as per your budget after a detailed discussion and will also be able to provide you with options which you can choose from as per your convenience.
Can I book my travel arrangements by self?
Yes. You can book the flight and stay and share the details with us.
What is the process of the payment ?
The payment can be made based on the estimation either before arriving at the hospital or during the admission process.
All payments will be made by you directly to the relevant parties like Hospitals, Accommodation Providers and Ticketing Agents, etc or you can pay through your facilitator through cheque/DD/wire transfer/credit or debit cards/wallets, etc
Please note that no employee of MCS is authorized to accept any payment in cash/kind/electronic bank transfer in his/her personal bank account. Please do inform the management if you are approached by any member of MCS with such a request.
Do the hospitals accept health insurance?
If you have health insurance that’s internationally validated in India, please alert the hospitals about it. If it’s an approved insurance provider, hospitals might request you to get an advance payment guarantee which you will have to co-ordinate from your home country
What about “after-care”?
Depending on your treatment you will be advised on the “after-care” program
Can I have more than one medical treatment at the same time?
Yes, it may be possible. However, this will depend on the doctor’s assessment of your case.
What about follow-up after I return from India?
We will help you with follow-up and any other help you need.
Can we go for sight-seeing or other recreational activities?
Yes, we will be happy to take you around
Is it possible to go home immediately after my treatment is over?
Most doctors will request you to stay back for a short time for observations and follow-up visits to make sure everything is in order
What if I change my mind about the treatment on arrival?
If you wish to cancel the trip after commencement, a refund would be restricted to a limited amount and that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. We do not bear any responsibility to refund payments for unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation, and the like.
